Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist who currently is a competitor within the UFC flyweight division. Valentina is her younger sister, and also a UFC competitor. Antonina Shevchenko is a Muay Thai boxer started her fight sports career at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was victorious in this event with a unanimous victory over Suzane Miller. Antonina kept her winning streak going by getting bronze and silver medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, and a gold medal in 2011 as well as the year-end 2016 IFMA amateur Muay Thai world champion. Antonia began her professional journey at the age of 23 in 2003. Antonina has been awarded numerous championships, including the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships as well as the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's last fight was in the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. The fight was won by a unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko broke the professional MMA record in 2002 at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She was victorious in the second round TKO followed by 2 additional fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to earn a 3-0 record. Shevchenko stopped her involvement in MMA in order to concentrate on kickboxing. She made her comeback against Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko had the chance to beat Anissa by a majority vote and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. She quit the club in 2018 to join Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina showed off her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera by knees. After this win, Antonina received a UFC deal. Antonina Shevchenko made her debut in UFC at her debut at the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the unanimous victory, however she lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the defeat by beating Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler through rear-naked-choke submission. The result earned her the fight-of-the-night bonus. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in the next three fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski and lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently knocked out by KO in round two to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
