Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor she is a popular TV host. Anne W. Burrell is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network, as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. With her signature spiky blond hair and bubbly personality Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of eating out and offers simple, easy-to-learn techniques to cook at home on her Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell was a student and worked at the top New York restaurants. He also battled Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. Growing up in the Upstate region of New York Chef Burrell was inspired by food. After obtaining an English and Communication diploma in Canisius College in Buffalo NY she was able to pursue her love of the industry of restaurants by registering in The Culinary Institute of America. I was awed by every minute that I was a student at The Culinary Institute of America she states. I couldn't seem to get enough enjoyment from it. After graduation, Burrell spent one year learning in the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and worked in the Umbrian restaurant La Taverna del Lupo as well as Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, which is a Michelin-starred establishment. In Italy Burrell developed a profound appreciation and understanding of Italian cuisine and its culture. This will have a significant impact on the way she cooks. Burrell was an Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board members, which strives to increase the quality of life for kids who are facing difficulties. Burrell also serves as an Juvenile Disease Research Foundation (JDRF) celebrity ambassador and advocates awareness of children's diabetes. She has been a frequent to speak at conferences and tours across the nation as part of her mentorship job.
